I keep coming back to this thread, going through all the color combinations, again and again as if it's my car, and I'm the one that's going to choose the colors! Lol. I think we're all living vicariously through this thread...what an adventure! I'm really likin' these colors too...

I do like this, but with a more simple grill treatment and the windshield area sorted. The chop and rear glass are right on.
this car is coming along very well and your doing a real good job. love them victoria's, therefore, i would've tried to keep a wrap around back window. (personal preference i suppose). I know its kind of too late, but it's not too too late..but because you used a regular shoebox window, in a victoria, the c pillars are big, and im afraid the quarter windows are going to look small. have you considered lengthening the quarter windows, which in my opinion would help put in proportion the ratio of c pillar to quarter window. i hope this doesn't sound like a douchebag post, if it does, that was not my intention haha i did two renditions of what i'm talking about... below are the pics 1:how you have it now. 2: extended quater windows a little. 3 extended quarter windows more. to compare, open each photo in a new tab, and click between photos to see the difference...im not going to lie, my MS Paint skills are improving haha, wish i had photoshop back
Actually, I think the longer sail panels look good. It's all in good proportion now. If you open up the quarter window, the ratio swings too far toward open space (IMO at least).
I have a question, btw, outstanding job on the car, the young man picked the right person to carry on in his Dad's absence, what is the deal with the spot light? I know many oldschoolers liked them, and I put 2 on one of my current project, but that doesn't count as it is a repurposed O/T Ambulance... Did you forgo it as not being one of the guys who like them or ??? Btw, kudos, it looks amazing!
Having had the benefit of seeing this car in person I can tell you that this thing doesnt need any more severe modifications, it's perfect just the way it is.
I think the roof line is perfect just the way it is.I think the rounded window frames like in Norwells rendering are key to hiding the small size of the rear window. The wing windows need to be a bit more narrow in my opinion, but I love the lines on this car. As always Skip, your eye for awesome is dead on.
Samuel Johnson said "Nothing will ever be accomplished if all possible objections must first be overcome." Some other IMHO might argue for the smaller quarter window had Skip done it your way. Looks fucking awesome to me as is.
I thank everyone for their ideas and input. This car will only have very minimal body alterations. The only major alteration is the chop itself.
Ladyshifter will kill me for posting this but I thought you guys would get a kick out of a Lady working on her car. She is helping me hammer small holes to be welded.
Awesome! I kinda like the original color that's on the firewall. Maybe that and a spearmint two tone?

I'm not sure how I missed this thread until now, but I'm completely blown away. If someone had told me about removing the Vicky window and replacing it with a standard 50 glass, I would have said "no way". After seeing it done, I can say it really looks great. Perfect lines on the car, I hope to see it in person soon! As for color, this car DESERVES a 2 tone...
Looks like she would have fit right in in and airplane manufacturing plant. I spent the summer of 1966 at Boeing in Renton, Wa with a bucking bar in my hands bucking rivets on window sections in a similar position. Good to see that the progress is moving along on the Vic.
