    That is Maynard Troyer turned around in the late model Ford so this shot has to be the first year for pavement (1965) which was won by Bill Slater (Black coupe renumbered 80) but the scoring was screwed up and both Jim Malone and Al Tasnady each thought they had won.

    This was the first time we ever saw Troyer and he qualified by his time trial laps and ran very well with that full bodied car. I clearly remember that throughout the race he had some smoke coming out the exhaust and I never thought he would make 100 laps...but he did. I believe he had a 427 FE and it probably was the best available (Maybe even an Holman & Moody motor) since it was a Nagle Ford sponsored/owned car.

    This is a shot of my dad's car (Joe Catania) from Riverside Park about 1982. Charlie Glazier is the wheel man.

    Sonny did drive our cars in the early '70's....but this one is Charlie Glazier.

  15. More Bull's!!!! haha we're like in a china shop here boys lol Welcome Bullfrog, let the stories flow! :O) This thread just won't die, we'll go a day or so here or there of nothing and then BAM! More stuff just starts to flow, awesome stuff guys, awesome stuff, keeping the memories alive and forever!
