The gray one is a Pontiac, but pretty much the same thing.

Here's a few more of mine from this year:

The red coupe and the blue pickup are owned by the same guy that's had them both since he was in high school in the 50's. I'm being patient on these two.

The 47 sedan was near perfect. It went to a friend of mine that gave it a good cleaning and some new tires. Check out the before/after. The car is mint. 60k original miles.

Here are 5 that i rescued this year

Snatched this 57 4 door up from an alley where i was told it had been sitting for 20+ years . Factory power brake car . Gave a grand for it and ended up selling it when i heard about the auction coming up where i bought the 55 4door below. It went to a good home . Some nice folks up in wisconsin who always wanted to restore a 57 chevy . Last i heard they had just built a new garage for this car and to do the resto in .

This 55 4 door is super solid .Bought at a farm auction for $1800 , dropped a motor and tranny in it and it is my daily now.

Found this 48 coupe laying beside a garage right under my nose , been here for years and this is a small town "pop 5000" didnt know about it . Got it for a grand , installed new brakes up front , fuel pump and a carb rebuild and the 216 ran great and she drove down the road like a dream , Someone here pointed out to me that the steering wheel alone on this car was worth the buying price . Turned out to be a pretty highly optioned 48

And i also saved this 52 f4 and the international . Both are for sale to fund my 2 55's

How about a 1937 Packard three window coupe! I think I can make it work. I sent a picture of it to a friend with the fenders and hood hanging on and he sent back the last photo. A blown Hemi does seem to fit. GG

While not exactly a barn find this car has been sitting for over 3 decades. It was last driven by my Great Grandmother who passed away in 1980. My Uncle removed the engine for a freshening and thats how it sits. Been wanting to do something with it for years and have finally worn him down. Will not be stock and drivetrain isn't HAMB friendly but hope to have it moving on its own soon.
I have drug home something like a dozen others this year. Some have found new homes already, some still need one, a few are my future projects. Always looking for more to save from wasting away!

Hey I know it is not HAMB friendly but a great find anyway.

So I am in Houston this summer. My buddy wants to go sailing in Galveston so he says come with me to help retrieve his cat. We get to this storage yard and as we are pulling in I see this GN looking rather sad. I stroll over to have a look and by now my curiosity is growing. I go to the office and this very nice lady agrees to call the owner. That never happens! Lucky me he answers the phone...

Turns out that the car has been sitting in the same spot for 12 or 13 years!
Figure maybe $50 a month, $600 a year times 12. You do the math. Most of us spend this kind of $ to get our cars going, not to ruin them.

Owner is ready to sell and hasn't even seen the car for years. He lives nearby and comes to meet me. He sees what time and the sun have done to the car and is even more ready to part ways.

We strike a deal. I find a hauler. Turns out he was original owner with lots of paperwork. My lucky day. We never go sailing.

X2 !! I always wanted one of those GN's problem around here is if you left one sitting outside for that many years the bottom foot of the car would be part of the earth ! Nice score.

This one is about 35 minutes old...Just got home from Michigan to pick up this all steel, 60s built 33 Ford truck (notice chopped top) that I bought off Craigs List! That is no lie. Was dark when I got home so I have not even given a good look-over yet! Just loaded it and hit the road towards home as it was an 8 hour drive total. But I like it so far!!!:D

You are right! It was goofy. It was a replica kit that had a Pinto engine. Been in a barn for 20 plus years. I cleaned the gas tank, replaced the carburetor, installed a new battery, and it was a driver. Sold it to a guy in California. Good place for it?

Corndog...Pic #1 has GOT to be the "Purple People Eater" out of Robt.'s drawings...
I recall it got abandoned in a lot in Tijuana, left to be picked at by mexican trophy hunters...Thank the gods of ramtha it came back home! Is it being restored to its previous incarnation, '38 grille and all???
