Yes it ran at Dover and was track champion a few different years. Not sure of the plan for it yet. I would love to take it down the track.

Ken Murray built this cool gasser back in the 70's and ran it hard at the old Bison / Keystone dragway up here in Winnipeg Canada. It was originally built with a Lincoln motor before it was redone as you see it here. Ken moved on to dragsters and sold the Willys. It became the Pink Elephant with a blown 426 and then rebuilt again, lower lighter and meaner. Not sure where it went from there. I still remember being 16 or 17 and drooling all over it's bright pink fenders as it sat on display at the Garden City mall.

Ken himself is a legend in Canadian Drag racing with a couple of NHRA titles in top alchohol dragster and he is the crewchief on just about anything fast coming out of Winnipeg inluding Alchohol Funny Cars, Nitro injected dragsters and an assortment of blown top dragster and top sportsman machines. He's also been inducted into the Canadian Drag Racing hall of fame. His machine shop (Ken's Kustom Auto Machine) here in town is ground zero for serious horsepower in central Canada.

Ken bought the car a few years ago and restored it to it's orginal glory. Painted steel wheels and all. He made a few wheels up passes at Gimli Motorsport park a couple of summers back.

Here is the original version and the man himself
