Dale;put a third pedal in there and a real trans!!!!!Don't need no stinkin torque converters!!!!It is a proven fact that a chrome dipstick is worth a tenth!!!!A 63 is actually no tighter than the 64-65 engine bay.I have been involved in a few V-8 swaps into the "round"body cars, just finished a 347 into a 63.5 Falcon.Never done a FE swap into one though,a straight axle makes all kinds of room! The question is if you had to pick your fate. Which one of these Badd Ass Comets would you want to lose to. Which is the BADDDEST year 64 or 65.

This car was at Beaver Springs York US30 show a few years ago. Sorry for the picture quality. Its a picture of a picture, no scanner here. I have wrestled with the '64 vs. '65 question and for me, I like the '64's a little more. I like cars with brightwork on the side and a '64's swept back rear 1/4 extension makes it look like it is moving when its standing still. JMO. What is eveyone else's preference and why?

64 for me because it just looks menacing sitting near a track. I have always had a big heart for them. 65 to me just didnt look as menacing.

Ken- Its funny! I think the same way about your cars!!!

I still have access to a nice FE motor, thats not too over the top crazy. I was looking for more documentation on the Marauder when it became a roadster. Think there may have been one or two more that were done as well. I remember someone, somewhere posting a great top shot of one of these cars. It's one of three more cars I'd like to tackle, the other two being an all steel version of the elusive Trans Am early 60's Nova Fastback, as well as a heavily altered '64-65 Barracuda. After these, its nirvana !!!
