Track looks like Irwindale but with the pit side (return road bottom pic) and spectators fence the cars should be going right to left not left to right. Did they drive them up the track sometimes to get to the starting line ?

 

Been enjoying all the great pics everyone posts here, am looking for pictures of the Ellison & McGarvey gassers/altered/funny car, and The Boston Strangler Funny Cars for my own Bob Ellison memorial photo album that I am working on creating.
