hey Guys I have been looking for a nice set of Fenton Hawks for a while now and have not had any real luck, they are either bent, rotted or way overpriced!! Plus the fact that these wheels have been known to come apart from the hoop and that would be really bad while driving. So I have been looking around for a good alternative, and stumbled across the new Cragar 500 wheels, my plan is to have these wrapped with some wide white radials-let the groaning begin!!!-but I would hate to drop the coin and then not be allowed into my favorite type of shows like the Hunnert or Vintage Torque Fest because i have too new a wheel on a vintage car. Please let me know what you guys think, and i have a post to have somebody photoshop them on the car to see what they would look like fer sure. But please let me know if they would seal my fate or look enough like a Fenton Hawk to be period correct.....Thanks for the help!!

On that note, I would ask the Czars how they would feel about this rim at the gate to the pile up. They have a message board just like this format.

Reminds me of the old Indy 500 Speed wheels I had on one of my cars. I like them...60s looking.

I agree. Have some PS those wheels & tires on your ride before you pull the trigger on the tires.

They look damn good with wide whites. Unfortunately, I sold the car they were going on and sold the wheels/tires too.

Got 'em on my daily driver '55, get lots of compliments on 'em. Cragar marketed a very similar wheel in the mid sixties. But width wide whites? No No NO.

I just wish they made them in a 15x4. They definitely look like Fenton Hawks.

    With WW's... ahh... NO!

huh, rules on whether or not you can buy your own rims, and ride them on your own car. where do you live mamsy pamsy land?

if those shows dont like the wheels you like, just switch them back to steel wheels for the show. when its over put on whatever you like, its your fucking car.

I think I like 'em with the wide whites. Ask for some photoshop help from the computer whizzes on here & let's see how they look.
