Well folks, it was a pretty good year here on the "impoverished Plains" and even though it wasn't the best year we ever had it certainly could have been worse. So once again we held our annual party to send the old year out and bring n the new year in style. Just simple folks looking for simple pleasures in life. About a dozen of us like minded car folks and friends got together at our old house in our small town of 400 people (Gypsum, Kansas) which is about 18-20 miles from Salina. We started the festivities at 7PM with a big selection of appetizers and some very cold beer and chilled wine. [IMG]

The we had a big meal that Mrs. PF had prepared for us. She likes to set a nicely decorated table. This is a big deal for her and not so much for me---[IMG]

And even though I asked for hot dogs with chili and fritos (good beer food) she over ruled and made a baked spaghetti casserole with salad and home made bread.[IMG]

Speaking of Jan (39truck), new year's eve was his birthday yesterday and the young man is only 48 years old! He is a great guy who has a good collection of hot rods and parts in Sweden.

If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend this movie. Faith Grainger (HiboyGirl) did a great job of making this movie. You really can't tell the difference in the quality or cinematography as compared to big budget movies. I liked it very much.-- www.deuceofspadesmovie.com --Thank you Jan for buying this for me---[IMG]

The weather dipped down into the single digits outside and we left the beer, wine, and champagne outside where it was just right for drinking. Since I am on call for work all weekend long, I didn't drink much but I never do anyway. Not a big deal for me--

Here is Larry on the left who owns the former Peter Beater T bucket roadster that flathead pete in MI built and sold to bobwop who traded it to me. And my pal Tom is on the right. They look like "deacons" sitting on this bench---[IMG]
