i cant believe this is my first time seeing this thread. heres my wifes riv i am still trying to build. looking for a 59 buick if anyone wants to slpit with one.
Here's my 52 Special. Currently has the front clip off and getting the engine dressed all up and adding dual carbs and dual exhaust
The pics a re fabulous ! did you take them yourself ? Love your Buick, she looks like all those current very very very mild custom that are the rage now, but without that ridiculous stance ! frame is not on the ground like a lowrider ! nice !
i only did a c-notch (half a pipe). did this when i went 4-link cause i went open drive train... http://www.yarilswork.com/html/gallery.php?gallery=7
Delivered Glenn Stegemans 57 Buick Kustom "Radically Subtle" just in time for the WCK Santa Maria Show. His 500 mile drivetrain update shake down run went without a hitch. Yes you likely have seen it somewhere in the great US of A before as he literally drove it everywhere before wearing out the old drivetrain. We completed mods and paint in 1990...
"Radically Subtle" is a gorgeous car. What's the taillight treatment? Are those just Special/Century taillights? That thing is beautiful from every angle. I like the dark paint with the black interior quite a lot. Hey Gator, nice car. I love those '55's.
Here's mine... It's just about finished: Warmed-over Chevy 350, TH350, '77 Chevelle rear axle, Scarebird front discs, Corvette master, Chevelle-style adjustable tubular 4-link, heavy duty gas shocks and BIG anti-sway bars front and rear. Ch***is work is being done by Carl's Hot Rods in Red Oak, Texas. The color scheme, Galway Green and Cameo Beige, are not only stock '55 Buick colors, but they are the colors in which this Tourback Sedan was born. Radio delete, clock delete, manual steering and manual brakes, it was a factory cheepie but would have been hell for fast in its day. Broderick Crawford would be proud! Dum-da-da-da, da-daaaa! (music) UPDATE: I just (today) picked the car up from Carl's Hot Rods and it rides, drives and handles outstanding. I can really run with the big dogs now! Will post more info and photos on the Tri-Five Buick/Oldsmobile Social Group shortly.
