I seen this over on Stovebolt about Steve..... I really can't add anything that hasn't been said...joe LINK......... Jeff(rustednuts) posted this yesterday.....
RIP. I didn't have a lot of contact with him. But we talked a few times on this board and another. Very sad.
Steve is a very kind and gentle man from Bainbridge Island, WA. Anytime of year you could see him cruzing his old GMC panel through Kitsap County. I had the pleasure of talking to him at car shows and criuse-ins. He loved to talk old trucks and about his new shop which I brought Rock to a few times. He Came to one of our HAMB and Eggs breakfast in his white Corvette. Cool. May the Big Guy be watching over him. Prayers to you, Steve. 9"
Steve was always full of the right information on Stovebolts - not many around with his knowledge, for certain. RIP, OldSub.
Two days into the new year and we have already lost a HAMBer. I've sent Ryan a message so he can change OldSub's member status. RIP.
Oh man! I'm really sorry to hear this news. I know him mostly from the 'Bolt and he has always been a great help to everyone over there. My prayers go out to him and friends and family.
Joe, thanks for posting/linking here. I hadn't thought until today to pass it onto the HAMBers. Steve has passed on. At least his pain is over.
Never knew the man personally but was very familiar with his OldSub name and did enjoy his frequent posts on this forum. They were unfailingly friendly and helpful. Condolences to his family and many friends. Ray
Update: Steves funeral will be held at the Island Church on January 9th at 4:00pm. 9624 Sportsman Club Road NE, Bainbridge Island, Washington 98110
It's safe to say that MANY of us learned a lot from and enjoyed the conversation with OldSub. Sure will miss him.
No problem........... Ya know how you got that list of people you know via the website you belong to. Steve was on my list of people I wanted to meet. Always hoped to meet him someday. Like a lot have said, the man knew his AD trucks & was always wanting to help others w/his knowledge. Save us all a spot Steve in the garage upstairs......RIP my friend And PLEASE let his family know that his on line family have them all in our thoughts & prayers & that he was a very liked person on the BIG WWW.
