    I'd say thanks.
There are many cool cars in all styles.
Custom with a K is dumb.

Look on the bright side: nobody asked "who pimped your ride?"

I always thought lowriders had hydraulic suspension and customs were staticly lowered... Not sure where that leaves airbags though... ;)

Usually nothing. My neighbor kept calling it a low rider all the time. While we were swapping beers in the garage one day I explained the difference: "kustoms and low-riders are both customs, they are sort of cousins." He thought that was cool. Most of the time I don't care. There are a lot of similarities, particularly with the flake in my roof, and my car is quite low without bags.

Thanks guys for your input. I will now say thank you, and keep any thoughts to my self, and take it as a comtliment. I was in another lowrider show in Dec. They gave me first place HOT ROD. Some people just don't know.
Some one referred to the 61 Chevy Dash. My first car , when I got out fo the service, was a 61 Belair Bubble top. I wanted to use something off of a 61 Chevy. nothing on the out side would work. But the dash would. Not an easy task.
And for the digital dash, you can't see it unless the key is on or read the spec. sheet, I have it the window. Thank you for those of you that read it. And yes the side trim is 50 Merc. and 50 Merc. hub caps. (joke) And there is no billet on the car.

For those of you that have not read the spec. sheet. I will send it on another post.

    Thanks

To me the term "lowrider" is an individual who drives a lowered kustom car..lifts or not..if your ride is low & your passionate about your shit get your cruise on...your lowriding.

But then again some people can build an Impala with cragars & skinny whites that feel its not....

    But then again...

    Regardless, WHO cares...

Don't sweat it man, older folks think if it's not a hot rod, it's a lowrider. I can't count how many times I heard this joke from my uncle... "Why do lowriders have small steering wheels? It's easier to drive with handcuffs on"

I still get flack because I "screwed up" my '59 by lowering it.

Dumb. Keep taking it to lowrider shows and being pissed off that someone calls it a lowrider..... and better photoshop your no billet brake pedal. Nothing wrong with being proud of your car, you don't have to invent dumb posts to do it.

I would take it as a compliment because you have to admit the dedication and the detail that the lowrider fellas put into their rides...

Lowriders like all car cultures exhibit individual creativity. 13 inch wheels and murals are but a personal preference not a standard. And as for labeling it a lowrider. “A name is a label, and as soon as there is a label, the ideas disappear and out comes label-worship and label-bashing, and instead of living by a theme of ideas, people begin dying for labels... and the last thing the world needs is another religion.”-Richard Bach
