JJ your pics are killer! I am so glad that Deltroneous has practiced the art of restraint and has mastered it. Way too many of these are overwhacked. When we chopped mine we went through the same thought process. We want timeless chops not trendy chops not that heavy chops are trendy just a popular trend at the moment.

D'train is a "pecker". He's one that because he lives practically across the street from the shop if he has an hour to work on it he'll work 59 minutes. He'll just keep pecking away then the next thing you know he'll be done.

I'm proud of you and your car.

Wonder if StefanT is watching. Stefan you are a gifted engineer/fabricator/builder, but this is how a bunch of Southern USA boys (well, mostly Southern) chop a top. Good old fashioned seat-of-the-pants, if-it-looks-straight-it-is-straight, we-don't-need-no-stinking-braces car-building.

as for the proportions go, measure your door to your rocker, break that up into 3rds and what ever that is divided by 3 is what your window opening needs to be.

my door to rocker was 33" so I cut my roof so that my window was 11"

such a beautiful formula!
