Good ol' Junior! Heard he recently started up another race team for his son! He's gotta be in his late 70s? Got to meet him a couple times, he's the real deal.

Anyone notice the '57 convert has 6 stud wheels? Could this be a "Black Widow" convert, or did they put truck hubs on circuit cars in the day ?

It looks like a 1955 265 Chev engine. They were a little different than the 56 and newer SBC engines.

I remember Tim Flock being interviewed the year before he died, and he did say that NASCAR "let you use truck tires" for some years in the mid-'50s. I ***umed then that the rest of the gear went with that. Anybody know more about this?

In the early '70s, my late friend had six-lug hubs on his racing '55 Chevy. So I figured they must still be allowing them, at least on lesser circuits.

V8 Pilot pick up truck. This one has left hand drive, and a tropical cooling system, you can tell by the vertical hood louvres. The ch***is was probably destined for Africa, but for some reason stayed in the U.K. where the body would have been custom built
