So my good friend rob heard tell that i was kinda looking for a model A project. Like i need another project right? Well anyway, he told me about this A pickup that he'd know about for 40 years, and just so happens to know the fella who owns it. So he sets up a time with the fella so we can drive out to look at this car. Well i take some cash with me and set off with my buddy eric, My buddy JJ (60galaxieJJ) and Rob toward the great south in search of model A greatness. So we show up and this is what i buy.

Not very inpressive until we get it all loaded up.

    Its a 1928 Ford model A Roadster Pickup. SCORE!!!!!:D

Best part is that its even got a clear WA state ***le and you guys will hate me for the price i paid. Its less than most people pay for doors.

Here it is mocked up in the garage so i could sit in it and make car noises

I'm jealous. Yes I paid more for one of my doors than you paid for it.

well of course not, those dodge motors are junk!

    Plymouths are where its at!:D

Im actually not sure what the plans are yet. i have a 500 caddy, a 283 chevy, or a 230 plymouth. that 500 is way too much motor for this little car, and i wanna be able to run the hood. Im thinkin maybe that 59' 283 with a bunch of carbs, but honestly, i have not a clue as to whats gonna be done to it yet.

  13. It needs a flathead. They only look right with a flathead. Just remember I'm a dumb*** so take that into account when making a decision. But my money's on a flathead. I love 'em. Nothing like the smell of an overheating flathead in the morning. I can still remember driving my old Merc and every time I stopped and got out always had that little whiff of anti-freeze in the air. Oh, the good old days.

When I bought my wifes Mercury I had a chance to buy a truck just like that. I let my best friend at the time get it. Now we no longer talk to each other and the truck just sets. Good looking truck

Again.... Banjo or any old thing? ;) I've got a bunch of ford 8 inches and i might have a good 40 rear......But basically I know a old timer down by you that builds Bad*** Hot rods, He never throws anything away. He's got a hole stack of old ford rearends. He's really cool and into helping out the younger generation. We could probably score something cheap from him. I'll give him a call. maybe we can go visit him when I come down to see your A.
