My buddy is picking up a 64 post car tomorrow. The same guy also has a nice 64 4 door wagon for sale.

Those 2 pics were one posted on my website at one time. I took them. Kevin in GA was the guy that did the body and paint, I did the final assembly. First shot is on delivery at Kevins shop when I dropped it, the second shot was outside of my shop after it was rolling.

With the history of this car, whatever remained, was worth restoring and whatever sheet metal it took to reskin it.Although I feel it would have been better to be in the altered form. This car had the highest winning rate in MATCH RACE HISTORY.Dyno's Eliminator comets were awesome, but the 65 was unbelievable.

This one is not mine but I remembered that I had one from someone else on file.

I have about four or five shot from under the car that I will post when I can.

I have not seen it since completion but I did see it a Lions Drag Strip over the years during its life and towards the end it was getting rough.I like the look and appreciate the effort to bring it back, just have some issues with it.JMO,ROY.

Roy,I totally understand what you mine. This car I got to see when Dyno had it,but then got to see it when Pete got it.Was without a doubt my favorite.Talking about ratty, pete ran it at times without the front bumper and it looked rough.Fellow member MATTBEE had an uncle and father that wrenched with pete.I lived at Detroit Dragway and am fortunate to have the memories of the A/FX era, only wish I had the budget to support the dreams, larry

Dad says that the bumper was ripped off when they were taking it off the ramp truck. The hood was also black because someone spilled nitro on it. Matt

Safety sure has come a long way since then,no roll bars,no 5 point harnesses, but back then people didn't file law suits over everything!! That hood scoop[#2549] is,um,strange!!! ROY.

Roy- I missed you tonight at the track! Early on, it was great. You could have made five runs or so before the onslaught of inexperiance and stupidity started to show up. Oildowns, U-turns in the staging lanes, wearing shorts while racing, no wristbands on passengers, etc...

The car liked the new convertor, but loved adding more jetting!! All told, I drove the car from an 8.57 @83.42 with a 60' of 2.03 to a new best of 8.35 @84.5 with a 1.89 60'. Ran out of time, due to crashes, but I feel like it could have done a bit better stepping up to the next size jets becasue now, the car does not nose over, but rather revs right up to 7,800 !!! Yikes. Time for a rev limiter!!!:D

Here you go Roy. Solutions for that HiRiser Carb Spacer problem.

Heres my Vintage pic of the day. I have about 4 more of the Cyanide Comet.

I'm guessing the quarters got reworked (wheel openings) when the car got that funky rainbow paint job. Those long wheel openings were an eye sore. They even added a lip to the opening. The positioning of the leading edge of the opening looks to be in the same position and is still shaped the same. It even appears that there is still some red paint underneath where the other colors have popped off.

Why would you go through all the trouble of putting the factory suspension back in it after going so far with a few different straight axle designs. Is this for sure suppose to be the Dyno car?
