It was July 1972 that Anthony brought the modifieds to Seekonk and cancelled the ARC cars. I built an ARC car with Norm Holden for the 1972 season and the car was useless to run at Seekonk once the swich was made.

I don't know if the photo was a 3 wide start but it appears to be an open competition event which is why the "Seekonk" cars have their hoods off. It may have been the 1971 fall final which was Columbus Day weekend.

Louis Haggith at South Buxton, Ontario, Canada around 1970 - 72 . They ran a /34 Ford with a 300 ci. straight six in Sportsman class. I was 12 years old in 1971 and this was the best time of my life!

They had at least 2 chassis that I am aware of and if I remember correctly, Eddie ended up with everything. I did recently hear from some one that Bill "disposed" of the cars, but all these years I was told Eddie got the whole deal. If any readers know the real deal, please do tell.

Hey, that yellow and gold #7 'Cuda is ME!!!!!!!!!!!!:eek:

That picture was taken in my back yard. Where did ya' get this pic from????

I have one of the originals in my personal photo album.

In the pic it has a small block Chevy. I changed to a 454 big block Chevy.

That was a good car. I made a bunch of money with it :).

I remember Spadaro working on this car a few times with me when he was nuttin' ;).

Obviously he went on to bigger and better things  .

And me? Now I'm nuttin' .

By the way, I have several build pics of that car. We be talkin' a real old-time chassis build.

Don't think I posted this yet. The year is about 1969 and this is the #98 coupe of Nick Thomas perhaps on his way to Ascot Park Gardena or Speedway 605 in Irwindale for some figure-8 races.
