Steve I don't post this stuff to amaze anyone. I Post these things so if you walk by one at a garage sale you know what it is an buy it for $5!! Like my sled with the target drone motor.......
jimski , i know that . just you have soooo much stuff & knowledge ! the sled looks like fun ! put "Z" on it & let her go !!! ........... thanks .. steve
I'll take the lady to go with it!! The distributor is new- it one of the remunds (first street ignitions)
Ran a smithys for a little bit on my banger and it sounded great, kinda quiet but still noticeable that it was not a stock muffler. Burned the paint off pretty quick though. I am back to straight pipe right now though. If I can't go fast might as well sound fast.-Weeks
My kids would love that sled. I might have to look for some parts and make them one. Thanks for posting the pic
Hey all, This weekend I plan on getting back into my 20 T. I miss it. It's been too long being away from it with the holidays, traveling, and bunch of other fun stuff. I had the great experience of traveling up Spokane, WA over the new year to pick up my B motor from Chris. Not only was it great meeting him and an adventure of a trip but what a great way to start the year, good people and hot rod parts! I've got a question, I've been saving this photo because I'd like to find a water neck like the one on top. I've been doing some searching but haven't found it yet. Any help would be appreciated.
Hey Brent I would guess its home made. It looks real clean I like it. Do you wont one made of steel or alum ?
My roadster is in a rut and it makes me sad to see it sit. I did visit the grave site of my 2nd cousin Ray Pyle over the New Year Holiday. I took a few photos of his marker and resting place at Riverside National Cemetery. I wished I'd gotten to know him better and heard more stories about his roadster and racing days. I was humbled to be at such a place. http://www.hotrod.com/featuredvehicles/hrdp_1012_1929_ford_model_a_roadster/index.html
Hi guys! Does anyone have some nice pictures of intake ports on a Model B motor? Looking into the port at the valve... with the valve out would be great... and maybe back down into the port through the valve seat? Any pics would be helpful! Thanks guys! Sam
Just received my Secrets of Speed Magazine winter 2011. Looks like they are taking orders for another run of Riley two port heads. A good discount if you order now. Charlie Yapp says this may be the last run. It is a great magazine on bangers.
Brent, you can find them at Sacramento Vintage Ford, Aluminum upper water neck. I bet Bill can fab a nicer one though!
I order a smithys yesterday, should arrive on Monday. I can't wait to get the car back from paint and get it put on. Straight pipes are nice but for some reason i feel like going quieter for this project.
I want a mechanical drive tach. Now what do you use for the meter and are the threads for the cable metric?
Did you think of emailing the seller? Check a couple pages back The auction address is a few posts up
something in my mind is telling me it is 360 degrees out just a thought but recheck everything in cluding the intermediate shaft on the distributor for wear in the slots and where the rotor points according to the manual its sure to be something that will leave you kicking yourself
BLUTO, I need to find the bore diameter on the triumph TR2 connecting rod big end. I'm guessing that it was the one with 1.875 dia, rod bearings. So I 'm asking for the big end bore for the engine with 1.875 rod journals. I have acquired some new inserts and need size to finish hone "B" rods.
Bill do you have a vanderville catalog? I'll have to find mine if not.... That will take a couple days If I remember correctly the inserts come in several alloys from plain BADDIT to VP3 which the same tri-metal as Clevite 77
Sturgis...... Go talk to a speedo shop they wll make a cable for you from this to a tach They got all kindda ends ........ honest
