I'm shocked....I cant believe he would sell it after the emotional attachment he seemed to have with it. Regardless if the style fits your taste or not, you have to cl***ify it with all other cars that all these icons have touched during its' creation. Are there any ???

Doesn't "Monster Garage" really own the car. I thought JJ came on here and said when the series didn't renew that everything that was built on the show was owned by the Discovery Channel.

I am pretty sure the car he planned on keeping was the original flat black one that came out first..? unless they redid it into this, in which case, I liked it better before. It would look nice with bumpers, though..and I'm sure with all the big names attached to it, it will pull good money...I always liked JJ's stuff, bikes and cars..just my preference....go ahead and throw rocks at me now... lol

  4. the second thread about this? im just curious about what it gets sold for.

i dont know why everyone is so nuts about him selling this car, it has been advertised forsale since 05 for $150,000 in the west coast choppers site.

Lotsa good work went into that car, but I still don't understand the lack of bumpers...
It'll go to a collector for sure, but I'm curious to how much it'll bring. JJ doesn't have the public's eye anymore really. Back during the WCC craze of a few years ago it would have no doubt brought big money, but now? Probably not as much as you'd think.

Jesse hasn't posted anything on here since Feb, 2010. Something about a chick with a tattoo on her forehead, selling WCC, whatever.

Maybe someone else can be a better ... owner for that cool thing he had.

    what he said.
also for the people saying hes selling it because of divorce? are you serious? this car is probably not worth 1% of his income. save the TMZ drama, and lets all hope a hotrodder buys it.

    Jesse James has 2 1954 chevys 150/210/belairs

the First one is black, he didnt build it originally, he bought it already chopped and lowered, he put a tube frame under it and a crate motor 350/350 but kept the same look to the car. This info came from an interview in hotrodder with jesse in a magazine i have.

The second 54 was green and stock, brought in for the show monster garage, and we all saw it get customized by some of the greatest guys in the business. He stated in the show " Im keeping this one" so it belonged to him not discovery channel.

Im sure things are pretty ruff in his world right now or he would not part with it.
    Godspeed Jesse.

The black car was his that he did by himself before the TV show. This is a different car done on the show, it started out a stocker. If may be owned by the Discovery Channel. I would love to have and drive it all over.

So he is selling alot of his stuff. So what, its his stuff. Maybe he wants new stuff, maybe he is changing careers, whatever the reason he is just a guy selling stuff.

    Talented - Oh yeah
Do I like what he builds - some of it, its all built with talent though
Bad judgement in his personal life - it would appear that way
Would I pay more than the real value of a car just because he owned it - no way

He is just another human being walking the face of this earth. I admire his talent, I admire alot of peoples talent. I say good luck Jesse on whatever you are going to do in the future. We all start over at least once, many of us several times in our lives.

Cmon, who wouldn't do what (and who ) he did if they had the chance.

But It'd be pretty recognizable if you're laying low in Austin.

  19. I think the car is pretty sweet, especially since all the greats that worked on it. Only thing I'd change is adding some kind of bumpers...it looks unfinished to me.

I try not to get involved with these types of threads but I'd like to add that none of you (myself including) know Jesse... and you're all willing to chat it up like you've been scorned. I don't get it, what makes you think you know the man, a TV show? Some gossip rags?

Personally, I wouldn't want my life out there in public good or bad because people talk without knowing anything but here-say. AND I'm fairly sure I'm not the only one that realizes we can't believe everything we see/hear/read. So, give the guy a break!

He hasn't posted in a long time and, thinking about it now, it's got to **** that even the HAMB community has pushed away one of it's own to the point that if he were to post the thread would get destroyed by nincompoop posts that followed. I'd bet he'd have better content to post than most of us daily posters...

About the car, who cares about "the reason" he's selling it, it's for sale.

Let's not make this place a Soap Opera Digest. There's got to be better places for that.

  25. x2.

Since we are all angels here i'm sure none of us have done anything in our pasts that we aren't proud of and there is nothing in any of our pasts that we hope never comes to light in the public.

By the amount trash talking that goes down here every time his name comes up, I must be the only one here that isn't getting into heaven without some negotiating.

Either that or how about everyone airs THEIR dirty laundry for all to criticize ....just my $0.02.

Feelings towards Jesse here seem to be love or hate (some of you REALLY seem to love him which concerns me) and that's why everytime his name gets brought up, the posts are so opinionated that the thread gets killed. That's why I said that I can't believe this one is still open.
