My father's race car. Wish I could find it. Thought about cloning it a couple of times.

Here's the old family station wagon from the '70's that was my father's warped sense of family transportation. A '63 Chevy II Station Wagon with an L-78 396-425 HP motor, Turbo 400, 12-Bolt with 4.88's and a straight axle front suspension. He actually purchased it from a fellow that had TWO absolutely identical Chevy II's: same drivetrain, same color, etc, but the big difference was that one was this Station Wagon pictured and the other was a 2-Door hardtop. The fellow had to sell just one of them and my father being the family man with three children picked the wagon. Now I was actually pretty young when we had this car, which was a 9-passenger model with the furthest rear seat looking out the tailgate window, and still have traumatic flashbacks of my father saying "Kids....hold on!" and then our three little heads bouncing off the tailgate window and hearing the roar of that car's loud exhaust! As I grew older and wiser, I've realized that my father was using his offspring for weight ballast and weight transfer!

Too new for most here as it is an 81, BUT, it is a station wagon.

Currently a trailered race only car,
formerly my daily driver for ~20 years.

"this is too new and not a drag car but if your autocross car is not ready use the tow vehicle. This is my son from a few years ago....

    Isn't that Mikes car?

He lives in Md. and bought it shortly after meeting me in Ga. to see my dragon wagon, see post above

I think you mean "Moby Dodge"? the Purple 63 Dodge 330 wagon John Armonoff rad until the mid 80's. I have known John since 1878.
The wagon was sold to a very good friend of his and its been inside a garage in Greenwood, Indiana since then.
Every once in a while it comes out to play on the street but not very often.
Last time I saw it and talked to the owner it was repainted red and all the graphics were removed. Still has the same drive train John used for racing in it.
If it gets out I'll try to get pictures but I really wish I had some of it leaving the line with the front wheels 3 ft off the ground on its way to kicking someone's a$$ at the drag strip.

Love the long roofs! Here's shots of my Plymouth in 1970 426 street wedge built by WJ, yep Warren Johnson before he moved to Georgia. Too much gear would not MPH. Got beat by the damn Dart 340's.

You did NOT want to line up with this car! Charbonneau and Al Cordia wagons owned Division 5 back in the day.

That's Jim Hand's Poncho from Omaha. Badass... He's been racing it for 100 years. Uses it as the test mule to sort out Pontiac parts. Jim's a total ruler!

This is one of many racers in my station wagon book.
