</TABLE>"What do you hear about a 'Jungle Jim' movie being made? How cool would that be?" -- Monty Kragen, Baltimore, Md.

That would be way cool, Monty, so I dropped a quick line to "Jungle Pam" Hardy, J.J.'s longtime cohort, who confirmed the rumor and says it's looking good.

"A 'Jungle Jim' movie is in the works," she says. "The movie focuses on the years 'Jungle' and I were together. The leads have yet to be chosen."

Wow, who the heck could play the Jungle couple? Suggestions, readers?

She also encourages fans to pick up a copy of Lou Hart's new book, Drag Racing Funny Cars, for which she wrote the foreword. </SPAN>

And check out here great Web site, www.junglepam.com. It's chock full of great historic photos of her and J.J. over the years. Cool stuff

  8. I'll put in a vote for Laura Prepon to play Jungle Pam.

Haven't figured out anyone for the Jungle Jim part yet. Just so it isn't Will Ferrell.

In automobile history there are so many legends that would make great movies. I would like to see a movie about the Barris Bros in their early days before George became Holly weird. The movie could cover there start in Northern California to their Southern California days. I can see them designing Sam's Merc, the Hirohata Merc and Miss San Perdo Merc, this could truly be a great movie.

The working title of the jungle Jim movie is “Six-Second Love Affair.” That is what is on the script.

2 actors that would make it for a Jungle Jim Movie

Danny Masterson "Hyde" from that 70's show as JJ

Nikki Cox from Vegas TV show as JP

This would definitely be one I'd love to see. Showmans showman, stories galore, from firing his fuel car up at parties to flipping off Mickey Mouse at Disneyland. and don't forget those burn outs! I also considered who'd be right for Jim too and John C. Reilly came to mind briefly, but now I think he'd make a better '70s Dave McClelland.

    Whatya think.

I always thought that Jim was a bit more stoic and did things with a purpose. I saw some minor mention of Jack Black, too silly in persona and perhaps type-cast by now. I think John C Rielly is a good choice but the on-screen chemistry needs to be there. I'm certain that off track he may have been a bit of a wild man. You couldn't do that sort of thing without your idle mixture being just a bit off. For Pam, I dunno. Tough call there. I don't know if very many new starlets have enough softness in their bodies. I think it would have to be someone that's naturally "soft" in all the right places, certainly hot, but not a bombshell. Obvious and understated sexuality. I'm thinking Elizabeth Shue would be a great physical fit for the roll. Carmen Elektra would work with less make up and if her Garage magazine interview wasn't bullshit she might have the right enthusiasm for the part. Nicholas Cage is a gearhead and would put people in the theaters. Hard to say. I've always noticed that most stars have a number of the same co-stars in their films. Most of the bikers in "Every Which Way But Loose" were also in "...Jose Wales" and a few Dirty Harry's too. Same with any name tht's a draw. They have their favorites.

  21. I would have thought a bit more respect would be given to Pam as she IS a member of this site. JM2CW:eek:

  22. want this in my dvd collection already! hope it happens!!

  23. GOOD idea.

WOW is that a understatement,Hell yes pam is still smokin.
I think it is a great idea as long as pam has a say in the films context.Who else to tell the story with the good and the bad. Like stated before if you can get the story across as well as the worlds fastest indian it would be worth the effort, anything else would be a let down imo.

  26. I thought that too..... Not a clue who could play Pam but it'd be nice for her to have a cameo. Erin Brocovitch did one in the movie about her life.

I like the comment about The World's Fastest Indian. Not a totally historically accurate movie but it really caught the spirit.

  27. ok ill watch it

  28. i think the joke went right past you guys. think about it for a minute, you'll get it.

I would like to see a movie called "King of the Dragsters" about the life and racing career of the number one drag racer of all time; BIG DADDY DON GARLITS.
