Thanks for the props fellas. I got alot done this long Holiday weekend. It was nice and warm on Saturday: Here is the bed set on the frame for the first time: Motored over to in front of the barn for a photo shoot: Profile shot: I still have a bunch to do yet. Finish bolting it down. Build a tailgate. Also I need to lower the radiator some also.
Love this picture! So cool that your kids are involved. In this age of ipods and Wii's so many kids just don't 'get it'. Know what I mean? Keep up the good work, dad.
I got the tailgate made this past weekend. Here are the parts cut to size and fitted before bolting: Here it is set in place with the strap hinges I found on an old busted gate in the woods: Next I had to make the lower hinges. I like to use the envelopes that TRJ comes in for making templates: Templates: Parts cut: I guess I didn't take a pic of the hinge assembly installed. I'll do that tonight.
Here are a couple pics of the assembled hinge: and: I still have a little trimming to do and another bolt or two to add.
Jay...anything new with the speedster?? You didn't hurt yourself taking down the Christmas lights from your barn, did you???!!!
