The D type is my number one Inspiration. infact I think the stabalizer fin and wrap around windsheild are going to find themselves on my car. The 58 Chevy is a customers super secret low rider show car. Im not allowed to talk about it. If your asking about the 34 chevy truck, that is another customers car, I am just replacing the wood in the body with steel.

I use 3003 .063 thick I could go thinner like .050 but since its going to be a street car I want it a little more durable.

You should make it street legal too. What would it need to do so?

  20. Wow. The "Seret Special" is going to rule. I love every one of those design sketches.

A couple of years ago, I had the pleasure of watching this Devin bodied car run the road course here at SIR. It was running a small block Chevy with Hillborn injection, but he had a small exhaust pipe for each exhaust port..i.e. 8 pipes exiting from under the car.

This VW based sports racer is much more CUTESY than where you are headed, but if you can pull any elements from it, have at it! You're a talented MOFO....good luck

    Matt,

A little inspiration for you! This Shelby Dayton was completely built from scratch. I know it's a little later than the era you're building to and definitely on the OT side of things here, but panel beating is still panel beating and this is a good example!

Here's a link to how it was done... Been very inspirational to me, considering the guy new NOTHING of metal shaping when he started.
