Wow another red 57 chevy too!!!. What the Hell is wrong with people. Hope this car gets returned. Let the Power of the HAMB be with him........
that looks big time to me. the guy will never see that car again it went over sea`s or south america.
Its actually common in many places not just Calif. Anytime the economy goes in the ****per older cars and motor cycles become prime targets. once the economy heals itself then it will be late model trash once again. You can strip an older vehicle and make money on it easier than a late model.
Keys in it or not when they crashed through a iron gate they were taking the car one way or the other.Older cars are as fast to hot wire as a key start any way. Lojack would be the answer and have the best recovery record out there.
You are right and the whole keys in it thing just doesn't fly with me. A thief is a thief and that's that. No one has any business taking anything that doesn't belong to them. I look at it this way I am liable to give you just about anything but it is my decision not yours. disclaimer: I'm not talking to Ray here this is a you in general.
so what...keys in ignition...it was freakin' in the garage behind closed gates!!!! I think we need to put plastic explosives in the frame and detonate after so many hours gone!! This thing is getting out of hand........
Well my Willys is in the driveway. No breaks but it runs like a top. So I got a Club on the wheel. I know someone can cut the wheel to get the club off but it looks so '80s.
Theres one just like it on san diego craigslist, http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/2147366730.html Probably not the same one.
Wow, seems you can't do enough to slow these *******s down. Painted the cameras, drove through the security gates. I'd say it's time to expect the worst ... and do your best to prevent. Hidden cameras as well as visible ones might help (they spray the visible ones then think they're good to go). With these being "cl***ics" and most likely not driven daily, I'd be thinking about anchoring a hoop to the garage floor and chaining the car in place. Sure, it isn't foolproof (what with most garages being equipped with the tools to cut the chain) but if they aren't expecting it to be chained down I'm thinking it would slow them down a lot. I agree with Pork, the "club" does look 80's but even so, I have one on each of my three running/driving cars along with some other "theft prevention" tricks in play. Battery removal when not in use is also an option (sure it's a pain, but if the battery is removed and hidden, unless they brought a spare or a tow truck or are prepared to push it, they won't be driving it away).
These dumb ***es are all over, the local speed shop had their ot truck stolen last week and i found it on craigslist 5 days later. They got the 2 guys, they were pretty stupid. Stole it less than a mile from where we found it, they put an ad in the local section with a ridiculously low price on the motor. I called my buddy that was looking for a ***mins, went and looked at it and recognized the truck, Called a buddy that is a cop, he called a detective and we met up with them and done deal, rolled up on them and they took off running, caught them 2 blocks over, cop said one of them tripped cause his pants fell down around his ankles! Dumb ***es!!
6 pounds of C-4 ought to do the trick..cell phone detonator..stop em dead in their tracks..with a tracking device so you can wait to pull the trigger when they have it in their shop or a GPS cell phone stashed in the car if you have a weak stomach for blood stains
If anyone steals my sled I only want to know how they started it ! The **** won't start half the time for me.
Nothing, nothing pisses me off more than **** like this. I'm thinking land mines, blow their balls off and hang them from the gate.
It looks like there's a premium for 57 Chev converts where ever these last two 57's are headed. The cops should set up "sting" with anouther 57 vert as bait.
That's Watsons' in '58 with highschool friend LeiLani sitting on the fender....I met her @ their schools 50th Bellflower high reunion in 2001 and got this picture in my Chevy...RDR
The thieves should be stripped naked and tied by their hands and feet down in the swamp without enough slack to swat mosquitos or scratch themselves.
