History Bob's Big Boy Broiler Opens In Downey!

Come on out to The Broiler Jan 7,11.(That looks wierd!) We made a pretty cool story board that gives a very condensed history of the Broiler to present. Hope to see ya there.

We're here ,so if yer home come on out and visit us Broilers on the Day of what had been the demo, Can't believe that has been 4 yrs already! Thank The HAMB that we now have the New Broiler!

 

"Back in the day" every night was cruise night.
Are there just to few of 'us" to do that any more? or are the "us" driving rice rockets now...
( I know, my daily these days is a Red '96 Honda HX. The '40 GMC is too "rough" for me to take it out. A revamp is in the thought patterns.)

 

Never to rough, bring it out !!!. Look at it like this, it's 1958 and you just got your licence and you need to find a way to get to Harveys. Bet me that 40 wouldn't look good enough to cruz down in.

I stopped by the Broiler this afternoon and ran into some of the guys from the Cadillac Kings Car Club...nice guys...



















AND, I got my copy of Adriene's book to go along with #1 !!!!

 

Say, do I see a copy of our book on a windshield? Now how cool is that! :-D

 

and....I was pleased to see that my '34 is in your book, Adriene....part of it the seam, but there...how cool !
And I think that's the lovely you with your sunglasses I see there, too, on the right...that makes it even better!!!

 

In 1966 My Dad gave me his worn out '53 Olds 98 Town Sedan and I junked it rather than be embarassed by driving a car with too many doors to Harveys.

Mor-dors were never "Front Row Worthy" at the Broiler back in the Harvey's Days.
It was the place to debut your custom,rod and later slammed shorts!
