I've got a 64 gmc c10 and just picked up a 65 mustang gas tank. Gonna get rid of the in cab tank, just need to know if the mustang sending u it will read on the stock gmc gauge or do i need an aftermarket gauge. Does it matter the make or will it read as long as they're both the same ohm?

  2. Ford and GM use different OHM ranges on their fuel tank senders. I don't recall the numbers right now.

get an after market universal sender for a GM and put it in the tank. Done deal and that way you don't screw up your cab/dash board with an extra gauge.
