  1. Perfect example of the types of Cars I saw at the strip before the muscle car revolution!

The white roadster was owned and raced by Pete Medlin ..Still sits in the background of these pictures, in a container.

Here is my Hilborn injected ,drag inspired, roadster:

This is a video of the first fireup I posted a while back:

Definately going to lose the Sanderson Zoomies in favor of a set of custom collector style headers, ala Street Roadster class cars of the 60's (see above). It's also getting a rollbar, and I think it needs some signage.

Anyway, it was fun to build- Ive always wanted to set up a set of Hilborns for the street.

Where are all these old drag roadsters? You still see old gassers, fuelers and funnys but hardly ever a nosebleed fenderless roadster. I would love to get my hands on one, even if its a new build. Anybody know of any around?

That old Scotty Finn roadster I had went to LA and I have never heard anything about it again. Maybe if I post pictures of it in here somebody will know where it is. Have to find them.

Honestly one of the best threads of all time. From the early drag cars with skinny slicks and fenders to the mod 60's engine in the drivers seat type. I am droooooollllling!

I love the old roadsters. I remember watching A and B/Street Roadsters run back in the early sixties. Racing's the poorer for the way things are now.
But, to me, when I hear the words "drag roadster"', there is only one...the one that ran faster than the fuelers of the day:

Great thread, an early to mid 60's style model a street roadster is on my list of things I'd like to build/own one day.

Carrol Hines street roadster is pictured below, he still owns and races it.
