TERRELL, TEXAS...Anything to do nearby?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by BIGREDTODD, Jan 13, 2011.

  1. Possibility of going to Terrell, TX for a couple of weeks from 1/31-2/11 to help transition our facility closure :)mad:). That's right, going to help them shut my department down. Anyway...

Is there anything cool to do, or hot rod/fabrication shops to see within a reasonable distance from Terrell?

Being away from home for 2 weeks will blow either way, but if I can stay occupied that would make the decision a little easier.

  3. I'll definitely be knocking on Brian's door if I head back there.

Definitely check out Hatfields. Terell has the best Mexican eatery. I think it's on Rockwall street. It is a grocery store with a lunch counter. I think it's called La Tequeria. There is also a recycler that lets you wander around the yard and buy stuff. I have scored some good stuff there. Other than that, it's kind of a shit hole.

  8. Cool...we'll see what ends up happening. At least there are some cool options.

There's lots of cool sights to see around DFW. I don't know how much free time you'll have, but I would suggest cruising around through some of the smaller towns. You'd be amazed at some of the old tin you'll see around here.
