Bill Lerner's injected SOHC Mustang flopper ventured out west in 1971. Actually the car featured an older 1970 Mustang shell, but in essence it was the same car. He ran the car on straight alky and qualified for at the lone event at Irwindale where I saw him. Very affable person as I recall.

It sure is groovy to see Arnie "The Farmer" Beswick's ride pictured here on these sacred HAMB cyber pages... As I told y'all at Christmas time... We're completely rebuilding the Drag Racing Underground web site-- That work includes doing brand new video previews for all our ***les in our extensive drag racing catalog-- For our "NOSTALGIA RAW" dvd release, we edited a preview that features Arnie's much later version of the "Tameless Tiger" running at E'Town a few years back, and also the "Mrs' B" Pontiac station wagon that was campaigned by someone else (other than Arnie Beswick) at Maple Grove a few years ago... I absolutely adore the Beswick race cars-- They certainly possess genuine character-- And the fact that they're Pontiacs makes 'em kinda neat too (there's definitely a shortage of Pontiac power on the strip)... Long live nostalgia themed drag racing!!... "The Doc" (Celebrity Drag Racing Authority & Visionary)...
