  3. $2.72 for unleaded if I scan my Kroger card before pumping. I'm currently at base camp (Mississippi). It has a lot more to do with taxes than the price of the commodity.

The 100 octane gasoline runs about the same here , where you can find a No- lead 100. Meanwhile , 3.01- 3.09 is the normal here for branded 87 octane regular in Richmond Va. scrubba

Surprisingly few places in LA & The Westside sell 100 octane considering how many Lambos & Ferraris there are here. But I don't run in those circles, if you know what I mean.
As for gas prices, I bought gas at the cheap place for my Bronco yesterday at $3.33/gallon, 87 octane. But the average price right now is about $3.40 in Hollywood/LA.

All things considered, I have never paid too much for a tank of gas.

  13. This comes up every time gas takes a jump and will continue,,there is nothing we can do but complain or park our cars,,I for one will continue to complain but after I see what you guys across the pond are paying I should just be happy with the price I pay! HRP

I remember the outrage a few years ago when gas was hanging out at $2.25/$2.50. The news stations were all over it, people were crying in the streets, "How are ever going to live with these prices!?!"

Sorry for dragging up this subject again, but I just wanted to see by how much Britain is more expensive than elsewhere. The $3.40 US gallon figure converts to approx. 58 pence per litre.

Columbia, MO, USA -- 87 octane is $2.83USD/gallon just like 4 blocks away.

Diesel is like $3.13/gallon or so between here and Jefferson City, MO.

    I haven't priced E85 recently, but it's generally a bit cheaper than 87 octane.

E10 is our 89 octane and sometime's it sell's for the same price as 87. Go figure.

    pdq67

PS., sometime's 87 is E10 and other time's it's straight regular unleaded, depending on the price ratio of gasoline base blend vs ethanol.

I paid 3.05 for reg unleaded or 87 octain for the wifes car and I paid 3.39 for diesel yesterday but seen diesel as high as 3.47 in South Dakota last week. I thought it was cheaper to make diesel than gas so whats going on?

wow i remember just before Iraq part 2 it was 99 cents a gallon. i remember taking a picture, cause it only cost me 30 bucks to fill my tank at the time, man how the times they are a changing!

  26. When I was a kid w..a..y back in the 60's I remember searching through the ditches along side the road by my house and picking up pop bottles. I'd collect a few bottles take them to the country store and redeem them for pocket change. I'd then jump on my "RUPP" mini-bike, ride it to the gas station and fill the one gallon tank up!
Gas back then was .32 a gallon!

Gas here is $2.90 a gallon for 87 octane. A little over two years ago (December 28, 2008), I filled up my pickup for $1.39 a gallon

Price has doubled from what it was 24 months ago
