JAMCO Front end- opinions/ideas

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by greaserchief, Jan 17, 2011.

  1. I have a friend that bought a Jamco bolt on front end kit and put it on his 50 merc. now after only a couple years the Rod ends are waring out. He's tried talking to the owner a couple times about replacing those parts and the guy tells him" I'll have to get back to you".
This sounds like bullshit to me.
So He's wanting to know. Has any one had the same issues with this front end kit.
Does any one know what those Rod ends are off of cause he wants it fixed and if Jamass wont help then the hell with them.

Yea i hate it when people get screwed for greed.
These guys dont wont to stand behind there own product.

    Nice!!!

  3. A couple years? I would think you'd be way past warranty. It would just be nice to know how you could buy them

Greaserchief, send me a PM with your buddies name. If it's just outer tie rods, there is no reason we we have to get back to him.

I ordered a rear end suspension set up for my 50 Ford from Jamco. There were a couple of issues on missing parts, but they stood behind their sale all the way. I know they have had some problems with maintaining timely contact with their expansion and moves, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again. If the rod ends are showing signs of wear after a couple of years, how is that their problem?

I have front & rear suspension components of my 51 Ford. The car has yet to make it to the road, but that is my fault. I was shorted a couple of smaller parts. Jamco quickly correctly their mistake. I would not hesitate to order from them again & would recommend them to anyone else.

  13. Well I'm glad to hear good from most of you and I even got a response from a jamco rep.
The problem wasn't that " Yes parts ware out, Thats not it, the problem is that outer tie rods shouldn't ware out in 2 years. He's not trying to get them to give up free parts. He cant get any one to listen to him, He simple wants to re order replacement parts or find out what they use so he can fins a replacement but every time he calls the Main Dude blows him off. This isn't right right. So I'm gonna reply to hotweelz and see what he says. Thanks guys

Shouldn't wear out why? Did they get greased religously? Did they get greased at all? They do sell replacement parts right?

I to bought from Jamco. All good here. I love my sidepipes. Make that Y block sound just right!

I have used Jamco a few times with my 51, I too had troubles with the disc conversion I had purchased (missing/incorrect parts) I called the company and dealt with the owner himself. Told him my situation and he did everything humanly possible to help me out and in fact sent me a check for my time to fix kit. Because of his actions and straight shooting I will deffinately use them again they are a stand up company.

I placed an order with Jamco for some front springs and rear blocks. Turns out I ordered the wrong blocks. Instead of just blindly shipping, I get a call asking if I ordered correctly as the parts were not "norm" for my car.

That one little phone call from them saved me a lot of greif and extra shipping costs as I don't plan to install the parts till spring.

Jamco will see more of my business!

  18. O.K I want to thank you guys for your input. Hottweelz from Jamco called my Buddy and he's very happy, all he wanted was a friendly voice to assure him that replacement parts are available for him to buy and his new parts are on there way. Again thanks
