If you notice these guys are just stealing high dollar cars now,mostly out west.Calif. 55-59-Chevys,55 T-bird .now Tall T in KANSAS,Texas,Chevy pickup at a hotel. These thieves have buyers already lined up probably.The damn cops can run a sting on prostitutes but not give a rats ass about high dollar cars.

 

Hate this happened. Hope the car comes home soon. I hate to say it I've been weary of these storage units for a long time.

 

One of the guys that called tonight said the same thing, how did they know the 70 chevy and a kool Tee coupe were locked up there?They didn't just pick those units by chance..............Bastards!!!!!

 

I'll look through my stuff for some more pics of it and get them up asap.

Thanks guys for the well wishes. Now for the story. Got a call today while at work that my storage unit had been broken into. The police asked what was in the unit and when I told them they said the car was gone but the bike was still there. It appears that they had hit several other units in this same storage facility the night before and came back either last night or early this morning and got my car along with a 1965 Chevelle along with some other odds and ends from 12 other units. For those of you around the Wichita area you may have seen my car at some of the local shows. As said before its a Black 27 T Coupe with Red windows. small block chevy with 3 dueces. It has a skull & top hat pinstriped on the trunk lid. Please keep your eyes open for it or anyone that might be selling T Coupe parts. I appreciate the help. I will post a couple more pictures in just a few minutes. Please if you have any info please let me or the Derby Kansas Police know. Again thanks for the help.

 

I'll be keeping my eyes open around here should they head through which I doubt..

i commute around I35 south in norman, ok. ill keep the eyes peeled. every time i hear of one of our rides disappearing i wanna puke...

 

I had $5000 worth of welding equip. stolen from mine- I'm certian it was the owners.. same deal- no camera's - no witness- only my unit- owners husband just "happened" to be a welder by profession. but now a days what can you do??? I shoulda been more careful what kinda unit I put it in.. good luck finding yours.. keep an eye on ebay- craigslist

 

Bumping it for the cause;good luck on the search. Thieves should die over a period of time,not quickly. The bastards who commissioned the theft(and thefts over time) should be dealt with over an even longer period of time.

 

hell with the house,put alarms on your garage.The old lady will chase them out of the house

JWS Have the owner check other storage units where you stored your car at .especialy the ones that were rented with in 2 or 3 mos. your car might have been moved to another unit in that storage block to be stripped. Just a thought.

That really sux balls. Crooks are stealing vintage stuff left and right it seems. I keep my garage locked and the giant gates to get to my garage locked plus there is a worthless Explorer in front of the garage at night. If they want my jalopy they are going to have to work real hard to get it.

 

Looked at this car quite abit at the Starliner show, Jay it was good to talk with ya. Definitly will be watching on my trips around the state. With the stance and the original tall T roof line, there's not to many around. Good luck, let's find them. I hope the who ever (asshole) in this case dosen't try and get to creative with the car.
