The rear apron looks great. It makes the rear bumper and quarters flow together. I knew you would give me some more great ideas and inspiration.

    thanks guys!

farmer~ are you texting and flying? haha! Plans are to finish the metal work on the apron and then start on the rockers and bottoms of the doors next. I have been saving the boring stuff for last!

Brer~ I totally understand. I have at least two of those "stalls for various reasons" a month! Usually mine is time or money, wait...it's always time or money!

Jake~ I could not believe how much shit came out of the inside of my car!

Still trying to make Roundup, but its not looking to good, I am not willing to cut any corners to get there so I will just stay after it. If the car doesnt make it, at least it was good motivation! I will try and get the apron finished out tonight or tomorrow and post some better pics of it.

I could be wrong but everything should be the same except for the parking and tail lights and maybe some stuff on the dash. What are you wanting to know about?

Should be the same from what I know??? I was told everything changes out from 49-52. Whats wrong with the hood and fenders? They look good in your picture?

Sooner or later all the two door everthing will be taken. Your build should inspire all the mordor owners. Cool car. Nice workmanship.

49-50 fenders are slightly different from 51-52. They'll bolt right on, but the lower front where the grilles attach are different.

If you've got any familiarity with fabrication, it's not a huge deal to adapt them. Adapting 51/52 to 49/50 is slightly easier, but neither is going to take a master coachbuilder.

Of course, that only applies if you're putting the stock grille back in. If you're going a different direction, you're fabricating in that area anyway :)

AHHHHH.....BOTH!?!:D Well we talked about it last time you were down and we kicked around some ideas but I think you were having mini truck flash backs cause you kept wanting to french it into the trunk slanted on a 45 degree angle:eek: HAHA! Seriously though we talked about it and came up empty handed. The back flows so good I don't want to put it anywhere! But right now the best I can think of is hanging it from a bracket under the apron? I am open to ideas if anyone has some????

Hide it behind the bumper with one of those motorized brackets.. Look with the plate hidden while it's parked

    godspeedbear,

That is a great idea, I had actually already kicked that idea around but I figured I would catch alot of slack from people on here for it but I think it would be perfect! Tie it into the ignition swith to fold down when the key is on and up when its off! Great minds think alike! For now that is the plan!

    Chuck~Thanks!

Sorry Jake, nothing new to post here. I spent all day Saturday helping Racrdad move to his new place and Sunday it was lay your lazy ass on the couch and watch some football day! Maybe I will get some rust repair done this week, but this coming weekend we are working on Racrdad's car.
