Your truck is really nice but your a little late. There's been a picture thread on here for a long time for 32/34 PUs. Do a search. Ops I see your new!
There's a few here. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2405&highlight=32+pickup Welcome!
Thanks !! Spec's : Wheels and tires are Halibrands 15x4.5 with 155 R 15 and 15x8.5 with 235/75-15 Otherwise slightly flattened front crossmember, 4" dropped axle, c'ed front and rear, 8" rearend with shortest Aldan coilovers. Cab is chopped 2½" but I took out 1" under the windsheild frame to get the windsheild to line up better with the sideglas. So that makes the windsheild frame chopped only 1½". Lots of work but I felt it was worth it, I don't like the way these look when they're chopped otherwise. But that's just me beeing picky I guess. Home made bed with So-Cal cowl spears combined with a Focus emblem on the tailgate. I have a -33 firewall in there, that gives me 3" more leg room, and a custom made seat, so I can fit "okay" to be honest even though I'm over 6'. Otherwise these are hopeless to fit into, specially when they are chopped. And,,, that's not my syster....
I really like the chop. I have a '34 cab that I want to chop similar to the look you have. I understand your description of the chop.... "Cab is chopped 2½" but I took out 1" under the windsheild frame to get the windsheild to line up better with the sideglas. So that makes the windsheild frame chopped only 1½". So where did you cut the rear of the cab to get 2 1/2"?? Did you go through the window and remove all 2 1/2" there or did you remove some above or below the window? Can you explain in more detail, please. Your proportions are fantastic!! Thanks, Shifter
Hi Shifter I cut straight through the rear window opening. So I basicly took the top of the cab, as it's bolted together, chopped the rear of the cab 2½", then on the front of the cab I cut 1" out across the body just under the windsheild opening, ( the dash will come down too ) then took 1½" out of the posts, bolted the top on again and then cut the doors and frames to fit, DONE Good luck with your truck ! // Hank
Thanks Hank, When I get a chance, I'll do some measuring to see how this will work out. Sounds pretty straight forward. Again......great looking truck! -Dave "Shifter"
Hank: The more I look at your truck the more I think I will a full set of Brookville fenders and rubber boards for sale!
