Let's see em, low low cars/trucks WITHOUT bags!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by tulfabrication, Jan 9, 2011.

  1. I put this burb on a malibu chassis and no bags.I had to re-tub it to keep from rubbing the rear tires. The running boards are 3" from the earth.

Don't worry. The stupid ass cross is going away today. I am tearing her down and redoing it again. I have had this since I was 13. My first car. Can't wait to get it redone. I miss her.

This is, and will always be one of my wife and I's all time favorite cars. And a huge influence on us getting our Acadian.
Originally built by Kyle Moody (spinzzy on the HAMB) and his Dad, Steve (who also owned Rudy's truck a one point:D). With help from Tracey Turner (29Sedanman) among others. The suspension was done by Greg Risk in Indy and I think he reworked the stock front to coil overs (and lots more I'm sure). I seem to remember the rear still used the leafs but were also reworked extensivly when Kyle had it. It was also a ZZ? motor with a glide.
The car now has a Nash 5 or 6 speed and some other updates, maybe he'll chime in with some more pics and details.
Again, one of my favorites, I never get tired of seeing it

My 49 was good and low when I first got it. I had to replace the stock Camaro springs with heavy duties so the bumper wouldnt drag on the crown of the road.

Here is is today, almost 20 years and two owners later. The present owner (a fellow HAMBER) did a great job building this car to the state it'sin today. (sure makes me wish I had never let it go....hope Mike doesn't mind me posting this current picture)
