How many people are trudging around in the snow and ice with their ride?

I'm sure it isn't just me. I'll be happy when I get the engine finished on my work truck so I can put Delilah back in the warm garage.

  2. Up in the mountains its way too risky with the horrible drivers who come here from Los Angeles or O.C. areas going up to Big Bear. I would rather put my baby in hibernation for a bit. That, and i need new tires.

Drivin my rock stock 53 Chevy 3100 everyday here in Kansas . Have almost 6 inches on the ground monday afternoon on the way home. Been in the low single digits in the mornings. Still 6v and vacum wipers. I either drive it or walk. Always had old iron for my daily drivers. Rain sleet or snow. The only way to go. From Oregon and did it there too.

The snow is not the problem it's the choride, I would call it salt but it's not really just salt aka a Bonneville, it's more like crystals of acid.

Yep! With less than 30K on the clock... Not bad for a 6 year old car... And it don't even have a scatch! :)

SOB you do drive that car as i saw it about a week ago some place as i was dropping a peter car off in your area code.
Hell i have been driving one of my toys for 32 years here in CT. Salt? Wash the god dam thing. We must have something like 35-50 inches of snow(more coming) sense dec 26 and i think its fun to drive a ole toy,it pisses off the chainers a whole bunch. Chainers are fair weather boys around here so no comments from the sissy so cal girls...:D
Kidding OK!!! Well off to fill the wood stove 4 degrees and a little cold for the roadster(jeep with no top)

My 65 F100. Been driving it all winter. I took this picture when I got stuck on the way home after a mega snow storm. I had to bring out the 51 Chevy to rescue myself.

I drove a 51 GMC a few years ago in the snow. With no heat or side windows it was a "cool" ride.

Not in Buffalo. You can not immagine how much salt was put on the roads over the last 3 days.

No can do. I would rather will help Andy wrench his ride in his driveway when it is 7 below zero.

I'm driving my 55 F100 daily. I don't worry about the salt, I painted the frame with industrial Imron and seam sealed the cab and body before painting it.
Salt has no place to hide. (except on the windshield, dam, no washers!)

To be fair, I live in central VA, not Buffalo, NY.

You guys are dedicated! I don't like visiting the snow, much less driving my baby in it. I have to say you are better men than I. Thumbs up.
