speaking of which, me and some of the hoodlums have a chance to "Barrow" a big diesel powered pusher motor home his mother in law has been trying to sell, to go to speed week. One of the guys said he thought there was restrictions on size and weight of RV's at the park. Anyone know for sure. How far is the RV park from the pits?

If you stay at the Bend in the Road there are no restriction. And its free. In fact there is nothing there except a couple of thousand Bonneville addicts. The is a KOA in Wendover but I have never stayed tere so Ihave no idea of the prices. The Bend is a mile or so from the salt. The KOA is about six miles. My guess is if you are thinking KOA you might want to be booking pretty soon.

I'm heading for SpeedWeek probably on the Wednesday before it starts. But I'll be driving an ancient RV puling a trailer so it will be a slow trip. I doubt you'd want to be cruising a 55 mph (and a lot slower on the hills!). Go over to landracing.com and click on the build diaries. Look at the thread "Indian 741 landraciing.....see you in 2011". Its Lars Nielsen's build diary. He is in Denmark and goes by the name Octane. You could PM him and get a lot of info. Super nice guy and one of the most determined. You gotta be to bring a bike all the way from Denmark to race on the salt.

  12. it's a long ass drive from Texas, 24 hrs minimum of driving if you can drive over the speed limit the whole time....1600 miles plus or minus...
