Another black Willys for Dave. This is the Warner & Edwards Willys owned by Monty Warner & Dave Edwards. This car was beautiful. They used two Willyses to build this car. The chassis is the ex Paul Frost Brockman's Speed Shop car. The body was rougher than they wanted to fool with, so they found another old racer, an orange Willys, that they used the body from. Dave Edwards told me they spent a lot of time cleaning and prepping the car, keeping it sharp. In the end, he said he wished they had spent less time cleaning and more time racing. It got to be a hassle to keep it so clean and still race it. But then again, if they hadn't gone to such great lengths, we wouldn't have these beautiful pics today.
