Hey guys,
Well, i've pulled chocks and am on the ground in afganistan. i'm working out of Bagram and will be out and about working with the troops in the mountains...thats about all i can go into on that, but i'll be wearing my h.a.m.b. swag whenever possible!!

"ovaltine" is packed away and i hope to finally get her finished up and painted when i get home.....so to all of my hamb buds, and my fellow texans....i'll see you guys soon!!!

I feel your pain. Did my year over there from 8/15/09 to 7/31/10 in Bagram also. Lived in a B-hut over by the Dragon DFAC (cafeteria), worked by Korean Hospital. Hit the BBQ DFAC, not TX BBQ but better than the industrial grade slop & swill at the other cafeterias.

If you travel in your work, Mazar Sherif is the best, Kabul- not bad, Kandahar is ok if the wind is away from the poo ponds. The New Zealand base at Bamiyan was great, very cool bunch of troops. Go Black Feathers!! The Dutch, German & French PX sell real & fresh Cuban cigars if you like those. Can't send them home but enjoy them while you can.

Cali, where at in Kabul? I'm at KAIA and we hit Eggers & Phoenix a few times a week. I'm here for a few more weeks then I'm outa this bitch!

 

Welcome to the Suck bro. Been here since June., I'm west of KAF at strong point Ghundy Gar. Best view around and the only thing worth looking at over here are the MickLicks going boom and A10 airstrikes.

And yes you can get Cohibas home you just need to know how.

Damn how many HAMBers are over here?

Stay safe. Our son served 1 1/2 yrs. in Fallujah, Iraq in the ole
kick down the doors and shoot days there.. He is now in Fort Lewis
training guys for Afghanistan. God speed-take care.
