My 52 the way it was found,,,,,,,,

 

damn...that 54 hearse doesnt look too bad at all..... could be an awesome car!

 

The Green 54 had a bad frame and no floors but that don't mean to much. The 50's parts cars where tuff,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

 

This one was a bummer,,,,,,, A while back I was surfing the net and I spotted a 54 neat meet in a wrecking yard photo,,, First one. By the time I was able to travel the 17 hundred miles to look at her this was the way I found her.
Sorry about the photo quality,,, I nabbed them off the cam corder.

Later on I found some photos of it before it was parted out for a convert.

Wow seeing those Caddy hearses reminds me of my grand dad.In the late 60's he took a 55 hearse and cut the back of and put a cmper on the back of it.Our family took vactions all over the country in it,good times.I got my mom trying to find pictures of it so I can post it.

 

thats too bad looks really solid hopefully some1 saves it with a 4 door

That '54 Star Chief looks really solid!

Here in Pennsy things kinda rust out. Here's a couple interesting vehicles photographed around 1980 or so.

'56 Fury in a yard owned by a reputed hermit/hoarder on a hill off Rt.22 on the way to Hamburg. Truly amazing place that has apparently been emptied since then. This car sat on top of a mound of cans an old appliances. The interior was filled to the beltline with rusting cans, with all the windows down.

Squarebird of undetermined year wearing trim pieces from '58, '59, and '60. Sadly no pics of the whole car. This was a different yard than the Fury's location. Don't remember where, but it was in the hills, in Perry County, perhaps. When we were there it was late spring or summer, and had just stopped pouring rain. Everything was heavily overgrown and the cars were very rusty. Like a day in the rain forest of Costa Rica spotting rare cars instead of tropical birds.

 

i always wondered what these junkyard cars from pa looked like in the 80s

 

About 3 quarters of a mile out into my neighbors back of the woods by our house, It is so sad to see a few old cars sitting upon a creek and worst of all, you couldn't just ask the owner if they're for sale.. " What are you doing trespassing in my yard, How did you know they're there?? " Not gonna risk it.

there's a guy up near watertown New York that must have a hundred old hulks sitting out in his field, there all 50's and earlier, and he won't even let you near them. it's a shame.
