    I remember this talk. Personal Hygiene was the euphamism for VD, talk was usually followed by a short arm inspection formation, looking for those for whom the talk may have already been a bit late.....

    I would guess during WW2 myself... that car is early '40s imo... and the ladies are dressed '40s too!!

    Looks like "In Harm's Way". Guy in the third shot standing on the model of the cruiser looks like director Otto Preminger.

    back in the early twenties my grandpa was a mechanic at the stude dealer in LA and was involved in this event at yosemite... kinda looks like him on the far right.
    good thing i'm retired... it has taken me two months to see every post in this great thread... now i'm caught up!!

    Sorry Ross, but Mr Fire is correct with this pic. It is John Fitzgerald's FJ it was powered by dual quad 289 with a 4 speed . ;)
