Frame(s)...........I've got a matching set. ;) :D Some guy had them listed on ebay with a buy it now of (if I remember right) $15.

    Thanks!

It is painted. ;) The last car I owned that had nice paint on I constantly worried about, when I sold it I promised myself I'd never do that again. I probably could make a killing selling those frames, everyone seems to want them. Some guy stopped me a couple of months back and asked if the car was for sale. I told him no and then he noticed the frames.............."Did you know they used to sponsor a race car?" he asked. You dont say?

Muttley;you do realize I was joking on the "Paint"!!! I remember you saying how tired you were of people asking when you would paint the Comet.People are paying BIG money to have a paint job with patina!!!! ROY.

Not a lot of snow, but cold and windy. Getting real tired of it.

You know I love Kens Comet, but I am a real basic guy, when it comes to paint. Plus that white 64's stance, and over-all look, is great!

Someone got a great deal, on the 2 Cammers, and the bodies, as well.

Eric;as you can tell by my Comet,I too, love a basic color combo.Ken has the best of both worlds!!!!I don't think you could build those two cammers, let alone the car and boat, for what they paid!! ROY.

buy one, cut off the top, weld all the doors together, and turn one into a "roadster", alas, it MUST have an altered wheelbase. :D

Here's a four door for ya!!!!!

This was my Grandfather's Comet he bought in the late 60's, I still have this one at my Mom's house back in North Carolina, planning on doing a restoration down the road back to orginal, to include the plastic seat covers.

    Roy:

I get crap from all the Cyclone junkie's all the time about my trim LOL!!!! The kool part is I knew the Brother of the orginal owner and he told me the story of how his brother was a big chrome junkie and special orderd the car in 65. After the car was delivered at the dealership he had all the extra chrome pieces installed on the car to include the "Cobra" engine dress-up kit before it left to go home with him, the car still has the orginal "Buddy Barr" stamped Cobra valve covers, it even has the vinyl top trim piece on the car!

Muttley- Great ride! This pic location is killer! I would love to get a few pics of the cars in front of this! Any chance you would know how to get there more specifically?

TURLOCK SWAP this weekend. Anyone going? I'm going to try to do the GNRS and the Turlock swap in the same weekend. I can feel a vacation day coming on monday....

Don't feel bad. The guy that raced my 64 Cyclone in the late 60s put Caliente side trim on it. The good thing is that he didn't drill as many holes as the factory Caliente cars had. I dread welding them all up though.

  25. I hear ya Brother, I just left the car as is, I figure when I do a full restore on the car I might take it all off then or maybe I'll just put it back the way it was from the orginal owner, It's my favorite car in my stable, drive the hell out of it!!!!!!

Eddie;THANKS for clearing that up!!!! I never thought of that happening, was always curious.I talked to a guy years ago that had a black 69 Mach 1 that did not have the side reflective trim or any emblems,he said it took his local dealer three tries before Ford would build the car his way.The only thing I had that could prove his story was that the hood and decklid had no sign of there ever being holes for emblems.I know you could weld them up but metal finishing inside between the inner and outer skins,I don't know!!!
