I thought for a minute that I saw one of these for sale last weekend, but the "b-pillar" is different....this plaster one that I photographed on Jan. 15th was supposedly used to show customers the different paint schemes.

looks to be about the same size....

Looks like Dino(Martin), Desi (Arnez) and Billy(?) ?

Right SixDogs. AND I recall that the band appeared
in one of Dean Martin's Matt Helm spy movies, about
'67. "The Silencers," maybe? Anybody know for sure?

SouthPaw, THANKS for posting this pic. Man, does this tell a story! And I dig the juxtaposition of the real horse stopping for a drink of water, and there behind him is Mobil's Pegasus logo on the front of the station! Cool. Maybe this was during WWII. Note the "Sorry, NO GAS" sign on the pump. Lots of folks got the wagons and tack out of the barns when gasoline was rationed for the war effort. Thanks again.

    MrSpeedyT added:
I would guess during WW2 myself... that car is early '40s imo... and the ladies are dressed '40s too!!

Jimi: Thanks, MrT. That's why we kick these things around on the HAMB; USUALLY, the right answer comes out! And, now that I think about it, Mobil probably wasn't using the Pegasus flying horse by the time of the oil embargo.

Not considered very credible, the group was formed of three Beverly Hills kids in '64 and broke up by 1969. With Billy Hinsche heading to college, Dino becoming a world-class tennis star and Air Reserve pilot, and Desi joining his mom's TV show.

In '66 they appeared in a nightclub scene in Dean Martin's spy flick, "Murders Row," the second of four Matt Helm movies by the elder Martin. The Helm movies were really little more than send-ups of the James Bond craze of the time.

The appearance by DD&B in the flick is a performance of one of their numbers, "If You're Thinkin' What I'm Thinkin'," written by Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart. Those two songwriters were prolific in the '60s and may be remembered for their many songs written for The Monkees, sometimes in collaboration with band members Mickey Dolenz, David Jones, Mike Nesmith and Peter Tork. IMO, the Boyce & Hart connection helps explain why the aforementioned cut was better than the covers Dino, Desi and Billy usually did. I liked the record, but DD&B's delivery lacked the edge and expression of the more successful rock&roll bands in the '60s.

Thanks to rickbeat.com, here's a shot from the "Dean Martin Show,"
featuring Ann-Margret and Dean's son's band, "Dino, Desi and Billy."
One can only guess that this was probably a plug for the movie in which
all five of these folks appeared in late '66: "Murderers Row."

One photo is 1936 in front of the Bangor, Maine library. Still looks exactly the same. Second from 1982 is author Stephen King in front of the new-to-him home in Bangor with his freshly installed front gates made by a local welder. King is a regular guy with no pretenses.

    1961 comic, a spin-off of the '59 to '63 TV teen comedy,
THANKS to Allee Willis' blog. The show helped launch
careers for Tuesday Weld, Bob Denver and Warren Beatty.

Comic-book ad, THANKS to Allee Willis' blog. I think
that's Joe Weider pictured, future mentor to the likes
    of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Somebody climbed in through an open window and scared his wife. I'm pretty sure no jogging takes place and he has packed on a few pounds. Good thing none of us have.

Even in his later years, no punk would have
dared kick sand in this guy's face! Jack Lalanne,
    THANKS to the Tucson Citizen.

Yesterday, Jack Lalanne passed on at 96.

Back in the old days when health and fitness wasn't the rage
and industry it is today, Jack Lalanne began shaping himself
into the nation's fitness guru. Almost single-handedly in the
mid-1930s, he developed the exercise equipment and the
philosophy of fitness and wellness, as they would be known
for decades to come. To draw public attention to fitness, he
staged many publicity stunts featuring feats of strength and
endurance, and he hosted his own TV program for some 35
    years.

The proof in the pudding of Jack's philosophy seems to have
been his own longevity. In the end, he succumbed to pneumonia,
not atrophy or poor habits. Known for his sharp wit, Jack would
have probably said that at least pneumonia didn't hurt his
"image." But fitness was about more than just image for Jack
who earned a degree as a doctor of chiropractic and gave many
informational and motivational speeches around fitness and
nutrition in his career, publishing numerous books, as well.

Born Francois Henri LaLanne in 1914 to French immigrant
parents in San Francisco, Jack got his nickname from his older
brother. Lalanne's first claim to the public lime light was as a
bodybuilder, before he became known as "the godfather of
fitness." Among his many honors and awards, he has a star
on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as well as appointments to
the California Hall of Fame and the National Fitness Hall of
    Fame.

    IN MEMORIAM
    Jack Lalanne

I stand corrected Charlie, I was looking at the driver as much as the car, I never knew John, but him and Brian must have had the same parents , uncanny resemblance

Looks like a very early pic of Jane Fonda....before she went to North Vietnam and turned traitor.
