    Ok, but I do not recall the 'Little Henry' name anywhere. Did Percy write that on it?
    I wrote to the Thunderbolt website once, but never got any reply.

    I bet Doug's old car is still around somewhere, just cloistered from the public because the owner does not want to be bothered by people who might want it. :)

    You don't know anything about Fomoco Jr. Stockers of this region, like "Tennessee Soldier" 64 Falcon Sprint would you?

    Little Henry was the name painted on the frt fenders when it was white.

    This was probably the first race car I actually had any involvement with. It's original owner and I worked in a garage together when I was 13/14 and through high school. It was my ticket to our home strip pits instead of a spectator.
    I have seen this car in the hands of the original owners middle son, probably 5 or 6 (maybe more) years ago, who returned it to original white, and actually drove it on the street. They showed up at a mall parking lot car show one night when me and Ms. were there shopping. I was shocked !
    If she had known a drive in car show was going to be there, let alone Tn. Soldier show up, I probably would not have been allowed to go.
    My family will not let me talk about race car days. They probably just think I'm looking at porn or have a girlfriend on the computer or something. If they found out I was on this website.......... I could be divorced and thrown out in the snow or something!

    Excuse my ignorance, but were these cars issued cert of title that could be registered?
    Is Mr. C.B. Felts still available to inquire about the Hippodrome car? I bet that car like Doug's can be accounted for somewhere especially with the aid of computers today.
    I would be surprised if an owner would not disclose it's existence.

    Thanks to all that were involved in this thread! it was some great reading! as my screen name says...I love thunderbolts( the 65 ) I have owned my 65 clone since 1989( my version ) I did not know the rarity of the 65 T Bolt at the time. I always thought there were two 65's...Thanks for clearing that up! awesome thread....11 hours to read all 112 pages!

    I think it started off in P stock, but it figured Q as long as I knew it. I think it later got factored down to R, but I do not know for certain.

    It's an old photo, I believe pre mid 70's. Does anyone recognize this Thunderbolt? Who's car, location, year, etc ... ?

    There is no way I can ever completely see this one. I simply can not believe there are this many old photo's around.

    The tffn site is mostly tech stories,not much in the way of old race car info or photos.Mostly worn out questions on where can I get equal length headers for my 260 Falcon for under $35.00 or how big a tire can I put on my 63 Falcon with out narrowing my rear.There is some good stuff on there from time to time,mostly rehashed stuff that has been covered to death. ROY.

    Be sure to search by selecting "search titles only" in advanced search if you're not already. It trims down the results. There are several cool threads like AFX Falcons, 64/65 Comets drag car pics, junior stocks, and drag cars in motion...just to name a few.

    Welcome to the Thunderbolt thread, Tom. You should try and read it all there's tons of pictures and info in this thread, and you never know who's going to post up.
    I just read whatever might interest me, you can't read them all. I try to catch the historical stuff.

    Anyway, when I returned the pics that I scanned and posted to the parts store the guy was telling me that Jack Bridenthal ordered a lot of cars with odd engine trans combinations in wagons and four doors specifically to fit certain drag classes. Does anyone know how many K code four door Fairlanes were
    built?

    I don't believe Ford retained detailed production records on engine vs. body code, at least not until 1967 model year. The Fairlane Club of America website indicates 3,400 - 4,000 1964 K codes made, along with a total of 36,693 Fairlane 4 Dr Sedans built.

    Re Bridenthal and four door sedans, I recall Jack telling me they would bid on 427 R code four door cars sold at Ford auctions. These were usually test vehicles they would pick up relatively inexpensive. In turn they would part the car out and scrap the remainder. At the time no one gave thought to how rare a 427 powered four door was.

  22. Would like more info. on the "Black Jack Jr. " T-bolt! What Ford Dealership it was Delivered? What #number is it out of the original 100? Who was the Driver/Drivers? Where or what has it become today? Thank You! :)

  23. I'm pretty sure it was the King Ford car pictured earlier in this thread. It has been restored back to it's King Ford scheme.

    Just in case you still need this: This photo is a little clearer: my NOS set of Les Ritchey style bars. The piece you need is super simple to make. It's just a slab of steel approx 1/4" thick with one hole and a slightly radiused end. I can draw it with dimensions if you'd like.

    Would be interested in dimensions of plates and the length of those bars.
    Also I am looking for the dimensions of the org TBolt bars the 9 inch rear axle Drum to Drum measurement and their wheelbase measurement

    Quite possibly Les Richeys car as the Dart was Ron Roots and Les did the enginework and tuning for it

    Pretty certain that you're right. If you look closely you can just make out the tip of the lightning bolt that is in front of the wording.

    That'd be Milo Coleman's car. I believe that car was originally sold through Walker Ford in Treasure Island, FL but he later received sponsorship from Bill Currie Ford.
