Wanda, I guess you didn't get the name change I suggested......her new name is "Miss Blue" no lady likes to called old, and she is so elegant, respect dictates using "Miss"

Here is one of my favorite pics of our car that my son John took in 2008. He was 9 years old at the time. I'll go through my files later and post some other 37-42 pics I have.

The Grist Bros chopped coupe, a few posts above, has been found and is being rebuilt in the Atlanta area. It was originally a Southern California car. The rebuild is locateted here on the H.A.M.B.:

Ether is doing a most excellent job with the sheet metal. The new owner is putting a really nice modern chassis under it, which is probably what dad would have done, if he were still alive and had it. It has been 46 years since I've seen it. I'm planning to make the trip for the unveiling when it is complete.

There are so many nice Willys on this thread. I remember many that race back in the early 60s. I was 13 when dad and my uncle Ralph sold the car ... for $600!

I agree...been a Willys guy since 1960...raced '62-'67...sold the car in 1969 for $695. I am amazed by all the Willys on this thread that I had not ever seen, and I've got all those coffee table gasser books, but there are quite a few that are not in publications I've seen. Have got very few pictures of my 1st coupe, and the ones I have, will have to be scanned (don't have a scanner) to post here, but we sure had fun back then in D & E/gas (all steel) with a hilborn small block. Keep digging up those pictures...they are great. As I said on another thread, coupes were not a large percentage of Willys automobile production (mostly sedans), so it makes it even more amazing that there were so many out there, and that so many are left, and(one more -so many...)that so many are, and have been found in the last 10 years. I am building my first early car, so the 33-36 thread is also of great interest.
