<HR style="COLOR: #666666" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->My brothers and I are searching for the Scavengers car club plate attached to Dads car - 53 Chevy? Dad passed away several years ago and we think this plate might have been sold at a garage sale around the Sacramento, Ca. area around 2001. The Scavangers were around Bakersfield, Ca. I would be suprised if this plate ever turned up again. That being said, anyone know who could reproduce something like this? From what I remember, it was etched from a block of aluminum.
I have posted this same message on other sites. Anyone recommend other sites to post this request on?

I live in South Bakersfield and I think I've seen a couple around some car shows or somewhere.

Those plaques are simple sand casts from dies made of wood. A lot of places can make them.

Thanks for the responses and the O'Brian Truckers lead. Dakool1, I had no clue there were so many other plaques out there from Bakersfield area. The Blazers is the only one I remember seeing before.

  8. Dennis - I just checked your new site. It's going to keep me busy for days!

One question though...are the plaques that are in the searchable database only ones that are from Speed Gems and Chicago Metal Craft?

It looks like the plaque is on the back of a 51 Ford Hardtop Coupe. The other car is a 56 Chevy.

    That's O'Brien.

And on the O'Brien Truckers website you can search for other Bakersfield plaques.

  11. I'm guessing the Gay-Lords have disbanded or re-named by now.

  12. Yes they are only the 12,000 SG and CM ones. The 3000 we have done 110,000 of in the past 32 years are only for the clubs we've done them for.

So have fun searching that site and please send us an e-mail with anything you find amiss. There were approximately 1, 476, 480 characters typed into the database, so that's a lot of chances to make a mistake:eek:
