Carl, we are going to try the FoneBro live webcast again this weekend, following the HAMB Dragsters of Old6, Joe Roseberry and ours. We are also going to follow the Y-Block Dragster of Tim McMaster's as he gets Tech'd and hopefully runs. Show will start at 9AM and go off & on as the cars run. NitroMoon is also doing an event Webcast both Days, check ANRA,com for those details. If you'd like to follow our exploits click here-V

(do not cut and paste as the HAMB does not show the entire link)
and be our guest to follow the "show" by signing in as a customer using your first name only, this broadcast is live and UNRECORDED, hope to see ya Saturday. Rocky

  2. Rocky, sorry I can't make it this sat as I have committed to a local car show. Tell Tim to "go get em" and "keep em between the whites"

  3. after returning from Eagle with still no 3rd gear got to investigating it a little further and discovered the ol shifter was not doing its job, got pissed and went out for a new one, installed it and viola third gear! Plus the shifter is shorter, more room 4 me.....

then finally got to hooking up a fuel shut off, had to make new arm for the valve, as the stock was straight and wouldn't work, and I used left over chute cable.....works good.....

    Cool, none the less!

  9. Holy s don't give Roc any ideas he may want 6 2's on each engine...........

  10. Well had to get rid of the flip cap and the spring hold downs, ordered a cap from Moon cause it looks right and made my hold downs from SS pipe clamps and my own brackets saved a few bucks in the process although the cap was a real choker. Now if the fog will go away I will run it today!!!!!!! .........

  16. Yea it was fun Tim but also expensive, I forgot I had my hearing aids in, and I tinks I my have lost em when I took my helmet off...........shit nother 5 grand down the tubes......oh well its only money and now mom is mad cause I can't hear her, hummm maybe a blessing in disguise..........

  17. Wow! hearing aids are expencive! I guess I'll just have to have Kathy speak up. 5 grand can buy a lot of parts.

Well, that depends on the parts.

    Here you go Carl.
These guys are local to me, and have a lot of interesting cars.
I saw this car run at Crossville Tn. last year, but sadly, I did not have my camera.
This was at a show at Lebanon, and I was in a rush, and only wanted a few details to look at when I returned home. Sorry about the quality.

Carl, I love that video, and the sound that flatty makes.

    Great build!

  26. Hey Carl - what cam are you going to be running? Let me know - I've been into cams for as long as I can remember. If I can help in any way, let me know.

    Dale

  27. Dale I haven't got it figgured out yet. Have an ol Schaller in the cabinet but don't know the grind and there are no #'s on it need to set it up and see what it is. Hoping to get my hands on a Howard M14, ran a M8 for years and need to get the specs on a 14. The block I have will be 3/8x3/8 with 1.6 intakes 4x2 manifold ect. so just trying to get my mind aligned with the stars if you know what I mean. Then there is always the 471 on the bench waiting for me to do something with it. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions ........

  28. Keep in touch Carl -- I might be able to help you out with something that makes women scream, children run and dogs bark! The dedication that you have and the work that you do is wonderful - maybe I can dig into my "war chest" and come up with something. NOW - if you can get to BVille this summer and see the FlatCAD run . . . might just have to bring you a present - what we call a little 'sumpin sumpin' cam :D

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh Shit - maybe I've had a few toooooo many cocktails tonight . . . doesn't necessarily make me a bad person now does it :)

  30. Thanx for the kudo's guys but at 65 I'm just reliving my teenage years and enjoying every moment. Dale I really hope to make it this year as my son and I were planning to go but with his passing it won't be the two of us. I hope to bring my grandson, he's 16 and I need to get him interested in all things flat.. Anyway it is on my agenda and would love to see the Flat Cad in flight. Right now I have to get my wing back to normal, had shoulder surgery last week. So this has been a rough start to the year for me. Its even tough trying to type with the wrong hand, let alone get anything done on the car. But I have to get back soon as I have to do some more work on the dragster for Rocky's show and get the new engine on the front burner!!!!!!!!!!!!
