I have had an idea in my head for awhile. I want to start a list or a database of what interchanges with what or what may work in a swap. For example, steeles. I want to go to discs on my project, but I will need 15"(now 14") rims to do this. I think mid80s fairmont, mustang or LTD rims will have the 4 1/2" boltpattern I need, but what about the backspacing? I need to know what to look for before I go try and find it. There is so many ideas that you comes across in a project. If you knew may fit, you could try things that you may not have had the money for.... Kinda like the hot rodders who built hot rods in the early days.
best one yet was the idea how to start a thread maybe? ahh there is the idea. someone beat ya to it. check out the search feature.
That he can communicate by mental telepathy. Can't you hear the voice describing it???? He's saying..."I can stir the pot over at the HAMB and my Rat Rod buddies will think I'm cool." Lets lock it up....
Thats better than the start, now we can see where your going with this, but it may be in your best intrest to do an intro before the hamb police get on your case.
i introduced myself before... I have many projects. I have '70 gremlin with a 406 sbc/4-speed/9"rear, and 66' pontiac w/ a L-88 headed 468, a 31' chevy('37 cowl) roadster PU w/300 I-6, a '64 ford PU, a '65 ford PU with 4wheeldrive, '62 Willys Jeep, a '54 Bel air, a '66 charger, .. and about 10 more and 15 more sbc's
What do I think????I think you should do an introduction first..Then maybe read some threads and find out how the HAMB works....
The only reason why people started building early fords is because they were cheap and grew on trees... now almost everyone is trying to recreate that look, but you guys miss the point.
