So the point you're trying to make is that you want to create a database that list what rims off of pony cars and LTDs would fit the cl***ics? I'll stick with the Mitchell manuals and the parts counter guys that know their ****. Half the fun is hunting down the parts.
someone please close this thread. and new guy delete your account check out how things work around here and then come back and try again
INTRO: I have many projects. I have '70 gremlin with a 406 sbc/4-speed/9"rear, and 66' pontiac w/ a L-88 headed 468, a 31' chevy('37 cowl) roadster PU w/300 I-6, a '64 ford PU, a '65 ford PU with 4wheeldrive, '62 Willys Jeep, a '54 Bel air, a '66 charger, .. and about 10 more and 15 more sbc's, two flatheads, a 455 olds, a 460 ford, 396 BBC, a 454 BBC and headers and parts And more parts.
If the concept here is to have an interchange db to do a quick look up for stuff, its not a bad idea. There is alot of easier & cheaper interchanges that would be good to know. Not everyone has a library of Mitchell guides at their disposal either. And I ***ume all you HAMB police realize that the posts that you disagree with fall off the 1st page so fast that they become a distant memory quick if you just ignore them & not throw in your 2 cents The guy you so quickly bash could just have the part made out of unobtanium that you need for your ride.
there must be a lot of dead kittens because of me.... um wait.. was gonna say something here.. oh yeah.. hollander interchange. ot google.. wait.. umm anyone got some bean dip for my chips?
You should make a proper intro at the RIGHT PLACE so everybody's gonna be happy then read a bit on this forum before posting this kind of $hit...
I want to make something simple and easy to use. Tap into knowlegde and add to it. The more I look, people want to either go buy complete engineered systems or go build hondas.. thats not hot rodding.
dont do that .... try and start the anti-honda, do-it-yourself bandwagon so people will forget your a dumb noobie.
anyone can do what they want, but the cost of doing anything could be cut down by knowing something different. I try to find a way to do what I want with parts I can find. The chase is good and fun, but time controls a project. I have a welder, plasma cutter, air and other tools. I have built frames, engines, transmissions and repaired most everthing I have come across. Not to take away from anyone from this site, but most ppl dont have the skills, tools, time or space for what is shown on this site. Mostly because of what they think: this is how it works, thats how it is... go buy complete engineered systems or go build hondas.. thats not hot rodding.
I think you'll find more people on the HAMB who DO have the skills and tools. Time is what you make it. Some of us enjoy the build and it's not about a mad thrash to get done, for some it is. At any rate, I realize this is an age of instant gratification and your idea has some merits. With the internet information, is now available for almost any detail you can imagine. So maybe you can take time away from all those cars (which I would like to see some pictures of) and put together the database. Good luck
Thats because early Fords are growing on them,..... Are they Woodies ? Have you ever noticed, Sometimes, you can see how something is going to turn out, before it happens ????
I think lots of things, different things all the time but for some reason I always end up being thinking all about ***s. Doc.
Oh, erm....... did I say ***s? I meant.......er.............Nailhead valve clearences........um..........yeah, thats it....................... As for old Siggi? Probably something about, pre occupation, obsession, neurosis......um.....did I mention ****ies yet??................ Doc.
Where can I get Some of those early ford tree seeds??........The only ones I have found so far have been GM........Did you buy them from the same guy who sold jack his bean stalk beans???...LOL...I am sorry I couldn't resist!
