Nice with with the hinges. What did you use for the pins? Just curious if you bought repro or used something similar.

How about, adding cardboard taped to the plywood before removing and starting over with the new wood. That way you can close up the gaps and get the shape that you want.

It looks like the vertical board on pass side is angled in, where the driver's side is vertical. Also it looks as if there is more exposed arm rest on the pass side than the other. I'm not trying to be critical of your work, it is so far beyond anything I can do. I am subscribed and enjoy watching and reading. It helps me too.

Hey Stefan, if you are going to add foam to the back and then cover with material, you may need a little gap for fitting. Check with a interior shop before redoing it, just my 2cents worth, but good work as usual.

I was on a interior shop to day and speak about the gaps.
He say that were no problems with the gaps.
I shall only fix gaps on the bottom board.
And i even talk about the front seat what was necessary to do with that.

When i talk with the interior shop and asked about the front seat.
So he recomend to change the bad springs to foam insted

    I removed the springs

    And scarp them

After removing the spring and the spring holders put i in a extra profile to hold the seat up and o will put in the L-iron to hold the plywood in the rear end

Fantastic, Stefan!! I knew you could do it. You are a very entertaining guy, I love how your engineering mind works.

By the way, do you have another car project (or 2) that you are not telling us about?
