I just read this thread 1-19. Great job with the post and what a beautiful car. The story should have been one of those reality shows. You should pitch it to the Discovery Channel. It worked for some folks in my townand state.(Gold Rush, Ax Men) This story is nothing short of AMAZING. Your family, the highs ,the lows, the pressure of time. Again congratulations on a wonderful car. And thank you for the time it took to share. You are a special talent in this industry.

Yeah, really. I was thinking the same thing watching him make his way through the crowd everytime he had to go up and accept another award.

5 awards, and there were at least a couple more that he didn't get a trohpy for...T-shirts & stuff instead.

Yaril - I've been watching this thread for 6 months, and no way did I think you were gonna jump in and drive your car all the way across the country! I saw you pull into the Suede Palace right after I did. The car was super clean! Not a spot anywhere, including the white fenderwells. Not until now, did I realize you drove all the way here and back...awesome!!!

I had the chance to see this car at the GNRS and was as blown away as everyone else. Beautiful craftsmanship and had I seen this build thread before then I think I would have appreciated it that much more. This car was one of the few that were in serious contention for the Alter Boys award, good thing we gave it to a hot rod instead, I don't think he had room in his trunk for another one!

Congrats on pretty much finishing the car and making the trip, that to me is the biggest award!

It looks great, I can't wait to see it all done in person!

Yani, that is hardcore old school. To drive all that way and put the competition away like that! Your car is no show pony and the build gets all my respect. I am very happy for you.
